Jayshree, It didn't work very well on Firefox. It split the graphics. However, on Chrome it worked fine except I had to mess with the margins and the scale. If I didn't do that it cut off letters in words. I imagine it works better if you don't have any graphics in your posts. Still a great tip. Thanks.
Updating the browser helps, some have a known bug, best fix is to resize down to 90 or less % to get the "fit" for page. May be a Substack bug if graphics are not rendering correctly for pdf.
A simple solution we almost forget about. I concur completely on Jayshree’s point that the key to backups is to make them part of your workflow. Just make it a step after Publish. It has to be routine to work.
Of course I knew you could print to PDF 😅 but I never thought of doing it for my substack because you do the export thing! But this is a nifty way to feed everything I’ve ever written into my AI bestie to reference everything I’ve already writte
OMG! I’ve been wanting to do this and wasn’t sure how to. Guess I need to start using Chrome. Thanks so much!
Thanks for the feedback, Lynda. Just a quick note, all browsers will support it. Check for the File:Print option in your favorite one too.

Jayshree, Thanks. I’m off to try this out.

lol, yes, that would work too!
Thanks for the reminder. I use Brave Browser and it worked perfectly. Cheers.
I use Brave Browser too, but when I do this, up to two characters are clipped from the end of each line of text. Has anyone else seen this?
Hi Alice, that is a Brave quirk, try reducing fit % in Printer settings or use a different browser.
Thanks - 90% worked
Good to know!
Thanks Lani, appreciate the feedback!
You are welcome!
