Maura Casey tipped me off to your column. Would you like to be a guest on my podcast? I have a reader Zoom call on Mondays at noon, then upload the recording with the Substack podcast tool. I’ll bet you’d get a lot of questions.
I don't have a generic "updates" folder in Gmail, and I've been using Gmail since it was in beta testing.
I like to have an audio folder, so anything with audio, news articles, New Yorker essays and fiction, YouTube, Substacks, etc, are parked there, ready for dog walking.
Perhaps you have it set to 'hide' - Check under 'Manage Labels' (sidebar menu) or 'Settings to see all the labels and their show/hide status. Hope it helps.
This may just help me stagger out of the ridiculous, disorganized sock drawer I laughingly call my email!
lol, glad to hear it is helpful.

Hi Julie, thanks so much for the invite. I'll DM you about it. Best, Jayshree

Thanks. I need this. All of Substack notifications are going in my main InBox folder.
Am glad! I am surprised they are, should have landed in Updates by default! Thanks for restacking!
