1) App does not honor publication post typeface and background color.
2) Post preview on desktop is missing dark mode preview mode. Can cause images that should have transparent backgrounds to be overlooked before publishing.
Great roundup! I thought I was the only one going bonkers from the live video notifications -- I had that turned off in my settings. I am NOT a live video person (which is why I'm on Substack).
Thank you for posting this practical guide/logical assessment of suggested improvements. There are many takeaways, but your article in particular has motivated me and taught me how to better organize and promote my archives through easier navigation. It's going to take some work, but thanks for the actionable ideas.
Regarding another idea for improvement, while I've only done one "live video" so far, I needed to touch it up in post-production (e.g., add names of speakers, etc.). I summarized my thoughts in a note.
Glad to hear it, Mark. Good tips on video. Tbh, I would just host the video on Zoom or other platform that is more mature given the issues with just plain text interfaces! ;-)
Two additional long-standing misses:
1) App does not honor publication post typeface and background color.
2) Post preview on desktop is missing dark mode preview mode. Can cause images that should have transparent backgrounds to be overlooked before publishing.
Good points. There are many differences between app and desktop versions. #2 is useful to know. Thanks, Dave.

Me neither! Agree, it is super annoying! Unsubbing 'em offers relief! :-)
