So ChatGPT Accidentally Wrote a Poem about My Article.
Insight: How do you think it did? (Hint: Did I wish I had written it?)
My post below on an Indian summer in
above resulted in something fun. I used a poem in an article for the first time. I was in two minds whether I should include it, or whether it distracts from my narrative. So I asked Jarvis, ahem chatGPT, and instead of simply answering yes or no, with reasoning, it wrote a poem on my article.
I decided to share it in a separate post, the thing is - I like it a lot, and only wish, I had the talent to write poetry and had thought of it first!
Now, you see why creators are wary of generative AI.
It learned from human creativity and intelligence through the ages, to write a clever piece like below, and you feel cheated.
It took seconds for a machine to create, while we toil over our creative pieces for hours at end.
But, if you want a letter written to your local school board or council member, then chatGPT is your to-go assistant.
Why waste 4 hours when you can have it done in 1 minute?
Have you tried it yet?
Read what chatGPT had to say about my writing!
Read AI is neither a friend nor an enemy or why Google should be worried about chatGPT or my take on the leadership fiasco at OpenAI with Sam Altman and the Board.
Back to the poem — what a surprise it was, and rather than throw it into the digital bin, I decided to use it to showcase where our world is headed and why generative AI is going to be transformational.
Judge for yourself but don’t forget to read my article too, to see how well it did or didn’t do!

In the tapestry of time, where roads unfurl,
From childhood echoes to a worldly swirl.
Picnics under Banyan, tales of old,
Journeys etched in memories, stories untold.
Highways may shrink, and rest houses change,
Yet, the heart of the journey, untouched, remains.
Homemade meals ‘neath a Banyan’s embrace,
Nature’s whispers, a familiar grace.
As adulthood’s passport bears its mark,
Global adventures light the spark.
Yet, geckos at night and temple lore,
Remind me of the magic life holds in store.
In the quiet of Ely, in Tintern’s embrace,
I find the essence of each childhood place.
The moonlight walks and Wordsworth’s song,
A reminder that life’s journey is lifelong.
So, dear reader, as the road unfolds,
Through memory’s lanes and stories retold.
May your travels be a canvas, pure and bright,
Painted with the hues of sheer delight.
In every detour, in each ancient gaze,
Find the magic that time never betrays.
As the journey unfolds, in blessings find,
The poetry of life, forever intertwined.

Wow! that's such a lovely poem. I am going to experiment that with my boring writing.
Jayshree I find your writing so calming and inspiring. I really appreciate techmadesimple sharing great tips and spreading knowledge.
How did the ChatGPT write your poem? It's amazing how it has covered all the aspects of your article.
Does everyone know how to use ChatGPT except me? What can it be used for? How does one know what to say to to it to then get what the individual is expecting?
As usual such poignant writing and great article. 🎉
